Way to Go!!

Can you believe it? The 2011-2012 show season is nearly wrapped up! A big congratulations to my students and our horses who braved the heat at the Clark County Fair Open Show -- they walked away in the ribbons and kept their cool on the hottest days of the summer! And a big hand for all the Clark County 4h Horse Project exhibitors, too! Alivia and Dicey, Jacob and Shy, Kaitlyn and Max, Josey and Zoey, Maggie and Duchess, Lauren and Tess, Lauren and Ripper, Korrie and Pie, Aysha and Pixie, Janessa and Paris. I could not have been more proud of your performance! And another round of congratulations to my students who qualified for the 2012 Clark County Equestrian Teams that will represent our county at the Washington State Fair in September. Good luck Jacob, Alivia, Kaitlyn and Maggie!

October News

What happened to September?? I can hardly believe it is time for jackets and gloves..., blankets and the end of grassy paddocks. I'm so happy to have a great group of clients and families to work with. You really make lessons fun and add to the friendly atmosphere at our barn.

October Events:
Feel free to stop by the Clark County Fairgrounds on October 16 – 17 to support our first show of the Fall, the “Halloween Show”. Korrie, Kaitlyn and Lauren will be showing at their first walk-trot show. Maggie and Alivia will be showing 13 and under, and Jacob will be showing 14 – 18. Maggie, Sam and Lauren will be showing in the costume class (late afternoon Sat.), and Sam and Jack will participate in Leadline. We may have a few brave enough to try the “Haunted Trail Course” (Late afternoon Sun.)! The show starts at 8 am both days. Horse shows don't operate on a schedule, but you can text me the day of and I can let you know how it's going.
Warmly,
Connie

Ready for a Great Summer

We're ready for a super summer! We're excited to welcome Breezy to our program. What a talented horse! Everyone is proud of our showers- Maggie, Alivia, Sam and Kasja. It will be fun hearing how you do this summer! We are all wishing Joy and Tag the best of luck as they prepare for a trip to ABRA World in Oklahoma! Can't wait!!

Let's all remember to bring water to lessons so we can stay cool. Please let me know ahead if your child is extra sensitive to heat so we can adjust our times.

Welcome to our new riders, and Happy Spring! We're all enjoying seeing the horses shed out for summer. Our hard work grooming all winter is about to pay off. The kids are enjoying getting to know "Ginger" a welsh/arab pony who is visiting our farm for a few weeks. We are also looking forward to welcoming Poncho back into our barn for adult and child lessons. We have a couple spaces available for spring. Keep our Summer Session in mind for friends or family who may be interested in a fun activity during our best weather! Katie will also be providing Summer Camps and Birthday Parties. Thanks for your support and we'll see you at the barn!
